Hi,

I am getting tired of my factory radio and will probably be putting my Alpine HU and Cadence 4 channel Amp into my truck.   I had them in my 99, but never put them into my new suburban.   I did put in my Diamond speakers, but that is the only upgrade I have done so far.

Questions I have are:

Is a PAC harness any better than a PIE harness.   Probably getting a PAC, but just wondering if one is better than the other.

Once I put in the HU, will the sub in back continue to work? ( possibly off of the amp that triggers the back speakers )

If not, what is a decent option to keep factory looks.  I do not want to put an extra box in back.   I do have an older Alpine Amp that I could use.

Thanks,  Dave

Well, I found out that I can somehow connect the sub to my HU and expect it to work.  I assume that it too has its own amp and works similar to the rear amp.   All I need now is confirmation, and wire location and colors.

Anyone have any input on this?

Dave

Anyone..... Bueler....

Hey, maybe someone can answer this.     Would 17 feet of RCA be too much for a 2nd row amp?    How much will actually be needed.  I think I used about 12 feet on my 99 but can't remember...

Anyone....Thanks!

17 feet of rca would be a better choice, , so you can move stuff in the future if you want.

I have also seen some aftermarket rear door panels for your truck that actually hold 10" subs on each side, ,i forget who makes them, , probably Q logic.
