Whats the max a stock door wiring setup can handle , say if i would put a 100-150watt door speaker in an 93 honda civic, would the stock wiring be able to handle the amplifier wattage for it to sound good or am i going to have to run 12 gauge through the boot to the door, and is it hard to do. Thanks

Most OEM speaker wiring is approximately 18gage.  I say you can safely use that for any amplifier up to 100 watts RMS.  I do it all the time without problems.  There is no case I can think of in non-competition car stereo where you would need 12 gage for your mains.  16 AWG is the largest you might need, IMO.
