hey im trying to wire a pioneer deck into a 1989 oldsmobile, but the wires are all cut from the factory radio and do not have the original harness. so i cann'ot get a harness for it i have to hardwire it. can anyone help me with a colour diagram or tell me wich wires go with eachother to make this work

Click on "Vehicle Information" under General Info to the left. Select 1989 and Oldsmobile then click on your car type on the link marked STEREO. Good luck.

im trying to get the installation manual for my pioneer deck, i am on the pioneer website but i get an error when i try to brng up any manual. so could someone please put the wire guide on here for me to see. the model is DEH-P6500

yellow = constant 12v

red = ignition

white = drivers side front speaker

grey = passanger side front speaker

green = drivers side rear speaker

purple = passanger side rear speaker

black = ground

ORANGE / white = dimmer

yellow/black = telephone mute

blue/white = amp remote

white, purple, green, grey wires with black traces are negative speaker wires where as those same colors with out the stripes are the positive speaker wires.

hello im trying to wire my pioneer deck in my oldsmobile. there is no harness so i have to hardwire them. im positive i have the right wires hooked up with eachother, constant to sonstant, switched to switched and so on. but yet when i turn the ignition on the deck does not turn on. There is a new battery in the car. I do not know what the problem is. I checked the constant wires with a volt metre. it is getting a pretty low reading. If anyone can help me or give me some tips in what to do or what you think i am doing wrong let me know, thanks

make sure you didnt mix up the yellow, grey, brown or orange wires... there are two of each and they serve very different functions.... grab a meter and verify.....
