Remove Radio in Ford 94' Explorer

I don't want to have to order the remover pieces and the hanger thing didn't work, it didn't want to come out. I mad the "U's" out of the hangers and pushed them in but the radio was still being held in by SOMETHING can someone please explain?

Make sure you have the "U's" pushed in good, then you need to put pressure on the inside out of both of them kinda like           

             <--U            U-->

im not very artistic but hope that helps..

You may of sprung the sides of the raadio. If you've done thatyou have to take the whole radio dash apart to remove it.
