ok me and this other guy is telling my my system is crap i wont list everything but this is what i have as a sub

the eclipese titanuim 12" sub running off the rockfordfosgate punch 800a2 series amp ( not the cheap best buy punch 800aII series amp)

this is what he said about my stereo

this is one of the people "Mason, you really don't know sh*t.

Yeah, the ratings that companies give are bullsh*t but they're NEVER under-rated. Most companies rate their speakers, subs and amps at 1 or 2 Ohms and something like 24 volts.
Cars just don't do that. 95% of speakers and subs run at 4 Ohms and cars give 12+-0.5 volts. If you see a speaker saying it's 250watts max, it's lying. 250 watts will make just about any speaker melt.
With amps, if it says 800 watts, that'll be 800 watts at 2 Ohms, you'll usually get 400 out of it.
Eclipse is junk. Rockford is junk.
You want a good deck? Alpine
Speakers and subs? JL
Amps? Either of the two "

and this is the second

"your system is crap the eclipse sub Is so so I'll give you that but a rockford amp is PURE sh*t I don't care what any of you say I think Rockford is Just CRAP. O and 2nd off you damn amp can't put out that many watts"

Whoever told you "Eclipse is junk" is just plain ignorant.  Eclipse is a top-ten label in any pro's book.  Rockford amps are just fine for subs.  While they are not the best they are certainly not "pure sh*t."

The person telling you this has a bad case of rectum-cranial inversion.

The guy thats telling you that your stuff is junk is full of S*** i think i like the eclipse subs myself, actually i have a friend that is maybe be going to put about 4 of those in his WRX as far as the amp goes i'm not a huge fan of RF but they do have some good things and some bad things just like all companies do the amp i like as well  so i think they guy thats dogging your crap needs to shut his hole.  I actually recent ly had a guy say my sub i have is nothing but a waste of money (Its  a Thunder 9500 12") but he was an idiot anyways so i just let that one slide. So all in all i think what you got is just fine

Don't get bothered by guys like that.  They talk stuff down thinking you don't know, but they are just displaying loud mouths as a cover for their own insecurities about not knowing much about car audio.  They probably want to learn more, but on the street they're not going to show it.  Pity them for their ignorance...that'll make them uncomfortable eventually.  Hang with some more intelligent people.  If you can't, don't worry about it...it's not going to hurt you.  ...anyhow...thanks for enlightening us with some of what goes on in your neighborhood...

its acutaly on a differnt forum and the post went like this

"is there a reason for people getting an expensive deck? and is the system a good deal/a good system?

http://cgi.google.com/ebaymotors/dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7916406295&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
and some suggestions on a good deck"

then this

"1st off yes usually it is depending on the deck some have more Volt Pre-Outs/Settings to Tune things out with/Just plain Quality Alot of lower brands don't play as well skip easier die easier in time etc... O and regarding your question towards that stuff on ebay I wouldn't buy any of that stuff on ebay it's crap."

then i said this ( i have a hard time trying to get accoss what i am getting it

"The reason people buy expensive decks is because the work better if u didn't know this there is nothing that regulates how much power a company says there deck/sub/amp puts out really what u pay for is what Ur going to get i would suggest going to install bay and getting a head unit from them u will get a much better head unit it might not look as good as the other ones and best buy and everything but the ones at best buy r made to look good not preform because people think well if they look good they must be well they couldn't be more wrong if something looks really good the reason is because the company is focusing on making a unit look good and not preform take rockfordfosgate u look at there amps and they are some of the ugliest amps u will ever see but i bet u anything they will out preform and Sony kenwood or any other best buy unit there( watch out rockfordfosgate sells there amps and bestbuy and they suck don't get them that is there crap line of products) i currently have a rockfordfosgate punch 800@a and ti is rated at 800 waits peak power and my friends at tweeter took a floor model of that amp and they went and did a power handling test on it and it was putting out 1600 watts and i have it running at 1 eclipse titanium sub now granted the amp costed me 699 and the sub costed me 499 but what i am getting at is if u get any headunit at a discount store warehouse (bestbuy circuit city walmart ) the head unit is going to want to put out bad sound and the speakers r going to want to put out bad sound which is horrible for Ur speakers and will blow them fast then if u were to go and buy a nice little head unit from ur local install bay and  ask them if they have any clearance models from last year and they will sell them cheap to u"

it amazes me what comes from people who hear something somewhere, I love the eclipse subs, and have had great luck with rockford, all the comapnies tell you what spechs they used to get those numbers (voltage frequency stuff like that) also the magazines test the stuff too and get close to the same thing, kinda funny. That sounds like a pretty decent system.

This sounds like the case of some 14-year old with his learning permit who just bought an Alpine / JL system and thinks everything else is sh*t.

Both rockford and eclipse are far from junk.

Prisonmugshotz, I have four words to help you on the getting-across problem:   Sentance construction and punctuation.  Just a tip.  Don't worry though, some U.S. judges have similar problems.  :-)

By the way, a powerful amp like that on a quality sub like the Eclipse sounds like the start of a strong system.

Prison, if your gettin hassled by online e-thugs on another board, and its preventing you from actually learning something, look at other options, there are a lot of forums that have a more mature, respectable attitude, vs what you hear there.
i think if you have to jump to another forum to see another opinion about something, that basically sums it up for me, to believe that there could be a problem at hand
your stereo sounds fine.
Im getting an eclipse 10" aluminum, and my brother has powered a couple of 12" Kicker Comps, on a 900w RF, and it made those things work, although the subs werent mint when he bought them from the previous owner, they werent a disapointment to listen to. he finally sold em and is looking for something better, im excited to see what hes gonna power with that amp though,
anyways, to sum it up, dont listen to some e-thug who thinks he knows everything.
