Pioneer HU, Ford/JBL Amp, into a 86 Rngr

Alright, I think I need some sort of expert here. I have an 86 Ranger, a Pioneer DEH 345 head unit, an amp (E9LF-18B849-AA  433M) (2) 6x9's and (2) 6's from a 90 Lincoln Mark VII, and (2) Alpine small dash speakers. Somehow, I'd like to make all these disparate items into one happy, rockin, rusty, junkyard 4x4.

The amp has 2 plugs on it.

The first plug, which I'm thinking went to the original radio, has the following wires, encased in a shielded, thick grey casing:

thin bare metal (aluminum?)

baby blue

brown

yellow

purple w/ white stripe

white w/ green stripe

green

white w/ orange stripe

the other plug, which I think went to the speakers, power, etc. has the following wires, as seen counterclockwise from the inside edge of the plug at the bottom all the way aroud:

yellow w/ black stripe

red

dark blue

red

yellow

yellow

white w/ purple stripe

orange w/ red stripe

green w/ red stripe

white w/ lite green stripe

pink w/ blue stripe

grey w/ blue stripe

blue w/ white stripe (remote on?)

orange w/ green stripe

The white w/ purple stripe, & orange w/ red stripe go to one 6x9, and the pink w/ blue stripe & grey w/ blue stripe go to the other 6x9, cause each 6x9 has a plug with one of the above wire combos sticking out if it (each 6x9 has a label saying either front LH or front RH -WTF?).

The Pioneer head unit has a plug with the following wires, as seen clockwise from the top inside edge of the plug:

black w/ green stripe

black w/ white stripe

blue (has a .5 A fuseable link)

black

grey w/ black stripe

green w/ black stripe

green

grey

orange

red (has a red ACC tag on it)

grey w/ red stripe

green w/ red stripe

I know I'm asking alot, but I'd really like to know what each goes to, and how to make it all work together in my truck, so if someone could help me with this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Am I too new, or my problem too hard, or my problem too easy? I'll probably not be able to add anything intelligent to a stereo conversation anytime soon, but I am taking a basic elec class right now, and in the future I should end up with valuable input on something. Just not right now. Kinda useless now ;( But just as soon as I see something I can answer, I will! :()

You might want to check with ford for the wiring schematics on that amp.  During one point in the 90's ford and jbl designed their radio's to send a 6 volt current to the amp to turn it on.  If this is one of those amp you might have a little trouble installing it.

Allright, I seem to remember asking someone in a stereo shop about getting it installed in something else a while back, and they didn't want to touch it, referred me to someone else. If that's the case, though, I could probably run power from the ignition(?) or somewhere else, with a resistor in series to drop the voltage to it down to 6, as soon as the vehicle is started, right? Am I making any sense here, or just opening my mouth (fingers?) to let you all know just how much I really DON'T know? Thanks, I'll call the Ford dealer tomorrow. FWIW, I just traded that rusty a@# 86 Ranger to a guy broke down on the highway needing to get somewhere really bad. What'd I get in trade, you ask? A 94 Firebird Formula, LT1 Auto with no rust, and (possibly) an inoperable fuel pump. Right place, right time.
