Like the title says, I need a 6 4 tweet combo for my 89 s-10. I am going to run them off a mtx6004 so I will put approx 150rms to each side. The 4 tweet will go in the dash and the 6 will go in the kick. The 6 has to preform well in a off axis posision and the 4 really has no limitations because if its to big to fit in the dash I will just build pods for it up top, no big deal. I have absolutly no intrest in putting the 4 tweet in kicks and the 6 in the doors because the seats are moved up quite a ways in the vehicle to accomidate my wall and amp rack. Not only am I looking for brand suggestions but also a good place to buy them. I have quite a few brands avalible locally and if the speakers I choose are avalible here I will buy them local but I also have no problem ordering in if I have to. Price is not a huge concern but I dont wanna start droppin 2k on a set.

The diamond audio set is good, but expensive.

There is a local dealer that sell the quart so I will check them out, as for the diamond, which set are you thinking of. The clossest diamond dealer is about 6 hours away and in a different province but I will drive that far to hear them, no problems there. But I wanna know the model so I can phone him ahead of time and make sure he has a set I can hear and a set in stock so if I want them I can get them, dont really wanna do the drive twice.

Boston Acoustics Pro or Z series are pretty good, too. As long as you're checking Quarts - don't forget the Q's.

I don't know your budget, but a few companies you may want to look into are CDT, Focal, MB Quart, Boston Acoustic, and Dynaudio.  They can be found at these sites (all of them not at every site).

www.sounddomain.com

www.woofersetc.com

www.thezeb.com

www.ikesound.com

www.onlinecarstereo.com

Another option, mainly for the 6's are the Adire Audio Koda (if you're looking to add some midbass).  They can be viewed at www.adireaudio.com .

Yet another company you could look into is Treo Engineering for their mids.  They are located at www.treoonline.com

Another company that's out there that makes good stuff is Diamond Audio.  They can be located here http://www.diamondaudio.com/ (I like the M6, CM3 line in their components setups).

One last company that I'll mention in this post is Elemental Designs.  They can be found at www.edesignaudio.com

Ya so far pretty much every thing listed are the brands I was looking at. My main problem comes with not knowing how well the six is going to work mounted at such a poor angle. Problem is there is not much else I can do about it short of redesigning my entire door panel. I am a pretty big guy and at the same time sit fairly close to the front so I have room for my sub enclosure, so standard kick pods and even normal door pods dont work because they are for the most part blocked by my body. If anyone has any other suggestions for how to do this I am all ears. Right now I am leaning towards either focal, boston pro, MB quart, or Diamond Audio. I decided I didnt want to use anything I cant hear before I buy. If anyone has any opinions on these I am all ears. I have a fair amount of experience with 3 outta the 4 brands but its almost all with customers vehicles so, of course, when it comes making a desison for my vehicle I all the sudden cant decide what I like.
