I am currently trying to install an AIWA cd player into my 2001 Pontiac Aztec.  Everything is connected as directed on the harness packaging and I get no sound from the speakers.  The display on the radio shows that there is something playing but again no sound.  Wondering if anyone has run into this problem and knows a solution.  The harness directed to use an alternate wire to connect to the fuse box for accessory power due to the stock radio having a slightly different setup. Other than that change everything else seems to be connected as normal.

thanks for any info.

is it possible you have the Monsoon system in there?

if so, you cant use the Metra class II interface module as it wont turn on the Monsoon amp.... you have to relocate the radio to the trunk and bridge one wire over from the radio plug to the amp plug to turn on the amp.... this is done on logic, not straight voltage but works fine when you do this....
