I have a 2004 mountaineer. The vehicle comes from the factory with the feature that keeps the radio and windows powered until a door opens. I added a satellite radio to my truck, and want to know what wire can I tap off of to keep the sat radio also powered until the door opens. I tested the radio wires but any wires that showed power didn't seem to cut off when the door opened. Any suggestions. Thanks

Im not an expert on this topic but Im pretty sure there is a relay somewhere under the dash that makes that feature possible. Im sure the relay is linked between the door pin and the radio fuse or some kind of combination like that. I would also think you could just tap into the same power lead as the factory radio but you said you tried that already?

yeah it seems weird but I tested the radio wires before opening the door. Whatever wires were "Hot" remained hot even after opening the door. Weird right???
