1st... Cap life time.  How long is a cap good for?  And how many would a 2400 peak system need?  The car is new and I cannot add a better alternator because of warrenty concerns.

2nd... Cooling- I have two Phoenix Gold XS2500 amps.  They are cutting because of heat in my Cobra's tiny trunk.  Any ideas on a set up?  How many fans would keep the temps down?

Thanks!

I would use 2 fans per amp, one for pulling air in one for pushing air out.... I try to keep my in draft of air close to the coils so they are cooled very well.   also make sure to use some type of screen under the fan so you dont get crap in your amp.   I really havent seen 2 many caps die they normally last pretty long.    2400 watts dosent tell how many caps you need,    tell me the amperage draw of the amp ( fuse size is a good tell) and the size of your alternator
