I installed an amp and sub to my bose system. I tapped into the BROWN / Yellow, and Light Blue/Dark Blue wires in the center console. I have seen others wired the same and working fine. My problem is that the bass keeps cutting off. Any ideas? Anybody else experience this?

U did use a Line Converter?? What wires R u tapped into for + Positive?

Read the bose car audio page on the 'net. They say you cannot add a sub to the system. That is one reason why all bose crap should be removed from the automobile.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

YES you can add amps to bose systems, i work with Bose systems on a daily basis. Are you using a high quality LOC that can handle the voltage from the Bose amp? Is the music cutting out altogether or is just the bass. Does it seem like the amp is overheating, the reason i ask is because in those GM vehicles the cab is isolated from the frame, so finding a good ground is nearly impossible to do in those vehicles, the drivers side kick panel is about the best place to find one, check the resistance with DMM. There are many possibilities that could be causing this problem, just have to trouble shoot.(welcome to my life)

hey i got a question, in order to find a good ground..what is a good resistance to see on a DMM? ive wondered this for a long time

a half ohm or less

the bass is the only thing that cuts out. I used a line converter but no luck. I connected others the same with no problems. I also checked others connected in shops. There connected the same way. I have to chjeck my ground source to see whats up. Might be that the amp requires too much power.

everything is fine now after I switched the loc for a new one. I adjusted the gain and works fine. The only problem is the bass sucks it doesnt hit as hard.
