Can I use the stereo Acc. to power my voltmeter gauge? I can't find anything switched for me to plug into in the fuse box.  Will the stereo Acc. wire give an acurate representation of what is happening with my amp power, The voltage should be the same everywhere correct?  IE.  the stuff wired to the dash is seeing the same voltage as the amps wired directly to the battery.

Thanks

most volt meters have a acc, ground, snd , and light wire.
but yes most power wires in a car do show the same voltage . now when amps are being used such as a sub amp the voltage at the amp might show less power as much as 1 volt difference since the amps are on during read.
using the acc wire will show a more acurate voltage comming from the car because on that line there is not as much of a draw.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Thanks thats what I was looking for. So essentially i'll get a more accurate reading from in-dash wiring to acc. then if I wired to the amp wire. etc

The back light for the meter has a + and -  can It suggest wiring into the existing dash wiring between the dimmer and one of the lights +  Can I just cut in to one of the dash lights positive, and then ground the -  ?

Thanks Again
