Does anyone know where I would connect the 12v power and ground if I'm mounting the brain in the trunk? The harness wires are only 12 inches long if that.  thanks

The ground wire can be grounded there in the trunk. I dont know what kind of car you have but Im sure there is a bolt or screw of some kind you could use there. Be sure to grind off the paint where it makes contact. As far as the 12v power wire , you probly need to run a single wire for that to the front of the car to a 12v sorce. Maybe the cig. lighter , fuse block , the head unit.....ect.ect. Is there a remote turn on for that unit ? If so you will need to run a wire for that as well.
