all the sledgehammer boxes i have heard have pounded!   I havent heard this one I guess its kinda the lower end, but still sweet.     All of them I have heard and tried have compared to the JL HO boxes of the w6v2 and w7's with the 9500 series subs

Does anyone know where you can buy the Sledgehammer boxes UNLOADED.,...My friend has 2 MTX 8000 15"s but the box he has is for crap....He wants a sledgehammer box but the only ones I can find are preloaded... I have told him I could build one at my shop but he still wants the Sledgehammer....

Also are the 9500s that much of an improvement over the 8000s.....I havent heard any of them yet...

I have heard that the 9500s pound. I dont think you will be able to find a sledge hammer box without a sub in it anywhere but ebay.

The 9500's are way above the level of the 8000 series sub.    also the sledgehammer boxes are designed for a specific sub, whay would you put a diffrent sub into it?   That would be loike buying a jl high output box and putting a w0 or w3 into it,   I would build a custom box for the 8000's based on the 8000 specs

MTX isn't selling the Sledghammer enclosures unloaded(yet).we have slod a 2-12 4500 series(low end) and 7500(middle) they are awsome volume for a reasonable price.
