I have an infinity 7540 amp and it won't power up. I have checked the power wire from the battery and it's hot.  Ground is attached to the frame. I have also checked the remote wire from the deck and it is hot also, but I suspect it is a remote problem. Is it possible that the remote from deck isn't providing enough juice to power up the amp?? Any other suggestions. Thanks

The current from the remote wire is minimal. If you suspect the head unti is not turning the amp on then for a quick test connect the remote wire to a constant 12 v to see if the amp wiil turn on. I suspect either a fuse is blown internally to the amp or a diode is blown.
