I was wondering if someone could help me out with my sub wiring. Currently I have two 10" subs with dual voice coils at 6 ohms, I was wondering what would be the best way to wire them if I was hooking them up to a 1 ohm stable kenwood kac-811d amplifier in order to get the most power without hurting my subs in the long run. Thanks

This is a parallel/parallel wiring arrangement and will provide a load of 1.5 ohms to the amp.  You should add the RMS value of the two subs and they should total more than the output of the amp at 1.5 ohms (about half the power between 1 ohm and 2 ohms).

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Sub Wiring -- posted image.

If using Dual 2 ohm coils the total load would be 0.5 ohm.

If using Dual 4 ohm coils the total load would be 1.0 ohm.

If using Dual 6 ohm coils the total load would be 1.5 ohm.
