Whats up yall. I have a problem. I just bought a rockford fosgate amp (1001bd) off ebay. The owner said it is in perfect condition. I tryed to hook it up today and no sound. We got power, and when you touch the memory with the remote you get a thump from the speakers, but no sound. I thought I heard some small audio sound for a second at one point but nothing else. What do you think is wron

Can someone say FRIED ... either you got jipped or you got bad RCA's or bad power and ground connections, most likely in your RCA's though. Get it tested at a best buy or circuit city with good RCA's.

That, or just that it's a rockford... Whats Wrong With My Rockford? -- posted image. Seen it happen many times. Rockford-Fosbreak is what we used to call 'em when I was installing, and AFAIK, the quality really hasn't gotten much better.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I've gotta agree.  I have found Rockford to be very reliable when the equipment is used properly.  Problem is - most Rockford equipment ends up abused by morons who think anything with "Rockford Fosgate" on it is bulletproof.

What will you get for Christmas, bad boy? Coal........or Visonik?? - stevdart

That said, if you are sure it was DOA contact the seller. If he is reasonable you should be able to get some of your money back. If he is unreasonable and actually did represent that it was in perfect condition then initiate a dispute on ebay.
