I am fixing to ditch all my Sound Q stuff and go for SPL....What I have bought so far is

2 Memphis M3mojo12s  12" 2ohm DVCs......1 MOJO 16-M2000D Amp (2000w x 1 @ 2ohms).....1 Optima Yellow top (I already have one so this makes 2).....And I have a stinger altenator on order....

Enough 1/0 wire to do the job....8ga to wire the speakers.....and a box is being built out of 1" MDF that will be covered in 2-3 coats of fiberglass resin......

The 1/0 has already been ran from the Optima in the front back to where the Amp will be....can I use that to link the two batts together then come off the second batt in the back to the amp or do I need to link them seperatly???and does the isolator need to be mounted any where special......

I need to know what needs to be done to wire the second altenator and the second batt into the car....

I want to put the second batt in the back...and I have a 1.5 farad cap left over from my SQ setup...should I use it or sell it....

basically what I want to know is do I need a battory Isolator.....and should there be anything between the 2 altenator to regulate voltage if so what??......and does this sound like a decent combo for SPL....I am putting this in a pontiac Grand Am....

Everthing is going to be either dynomatted or Rinolined by the end of the week....And the door skins are going to be crafted from 3/4 MDF....

some of this may sound a little overkill but I plan to add 2 more of the subs and another MOJO amp later....This is just to get started....

Any help is appreciated...

Have you figured out how you are going to mount this second altenator on that car, I am just interested because there isnt a lot of room under the hood.
double-secret reverse-osmosis speaker-cone-induced high-level interference distortion, Its a killer
