ok i am a student that is need of help i am supposed to make a car stereo JUSt run off a 12 volt battery inside a classroom. THIS is important to me so any help will be appreciated

What's your question?  To run 12 volt equipment off a car battery, make sure the battery is charged up and, err, just hook it up.  :)  Be sure to connect the head unit's memory and constant power wire to the + terminal.

i just want to hook up the 12 volt battery to the stereo nothing else

OK so take your black wire marked ground or negative and connect it to the negative post on your charged 12 volt battery. Them take the yellow wire marked battery or constant or memory and hook it up to the positive post. Then take the red wire marked ignition or switched and hook it up to the positive post as well. You will be rollin then

you might want to make sure you fuse everything properly, I dont think things will go so well for you if the radio starts smoking

wanted to do somthing simple and that is all he aquires, his radio hardly gets any reception and he wanted us to make a radio with good reception adn a car stereo gets good reception so thats what i was think ing about doing.
