Kicker used to make a free air sub that could be mounted on a board in a vehicle's trunk without the need for a box. Is there such an animal anymore. I am looking to put two subs in the trunk of a 2003 camry without losing my spare tire access.

their are a lot of them out there just look at specs and find one that is freeair compatable.Just about every brand has one.

when you mount it make sure that no air from the back of woofer can`t make it to the front.

a while back, a long while back actually, someone on here posted the "Sub Sag Formula" which would let you know if the sub you are looking at was good for up and down firing applications, and I THINK, the free air woofers as well. U might wanna do a search.
