I was wondering which subs will sound better and hit harder in a extra cab silverado?  I'm deciding between  2 jl audio 12" w3v2's or  2  10" w6v2's?  I would run both of them off a jl 500/1 amp. Which one will sound better and hit harder.  Will the 10w6v2 hit the low notes the 12w3v2 will? Both will be in a sealled box. Any help is a apreciated. Thanks!

Are you planning on having these installed under the rear seat? I know I have built boxes for that truck before, and about to do another one next week, and at the tallest part under the seat (being the front) its only 9". In the past I have done downfiring boxes for 2 or 3 10's and even those are pretty slim in height for speaker depth. I dont know if a 12" would fit too easily. You might want to check into that if, you are putting them under the rear seat.
I know I have had other customers who actually got brackets made to raise the seat up about 3-4". Could be a solution for you. Just thought I would comment.
The 12's are going to hit harder cause they have more cone area.

I was thinking about raising the seat 2 inches.  I have a found a box that is 7" deep without raising the seat, and the 10w6v2 is 6.9 deep. So I would need to raise the seat.  The 12w3v2 is 6.56" deep.  So either way I would have to raise the seat.  My only concern is that the 12's need about 1.25^ for the sealed enclosured each and the 10w6v2's I think only need .65^ which is easy to do.  I mostly listen to older rock and some new rock, my only concern with going with the 10w6v2's is that when i want to listen to rap that they wont pound and that I'm going to be dissapointed. What do you guys reccomend? Thanks so much for the help!!
