Hi, can somone please help me? I recently bought a Sony CD deck that had Antenna Trigger and Amp Trigger. I pulled my OEM deck out which had an external amp attached to it. I took the radio harness I bought and installed it acording to the instrutions on my 94 Toyota 4Runner SR5. Everything seems fine untill I switch to CD mode, then my stock components in the back create no bass or mid range. In FM all of the speakers work perfect.

Oh yah I forgot to tell you guys that I hooked the amp trigger on my car to the cd deck just to be sure but I dont have any aftermarket amps. I just attached it just to be sure.

It sound like you have your blue wire which is for power antenna triggering a amp in the vehicle somewhere. If you have the blue wire on the deck hooked up then try disconnecting it and instead hooking the blue/white wire up to the wire the blue one was hooked up to. I have seen that done quite a few times and it causes exactly what you are describing
double-secret reverse-osmosis speaker-cone-induced high-level interference distortion, Its a killer

I tried both wires and I have still the same result. Could I use the switched accessory power which is 12V + for the amp trigger instead.

Guess what? I fliped the leads around and it worked like a charm. Thank you very much Ravendarat.
