Hello All,

I have tried to get ahold of a soundgate tech support guy, but have been unsuccessful. I purchased a Soundgate Digistar-B for my 2004 Silverado w/Bose and Onstar. I followed the instructions exactly and it doesnt work right. My door chime does not work at all and my onstar is on for about a second and then turns off. I think that when I hit the onstar button, my head unit is turned off. Am I right to assume that my head unit would need to be on for the built in Bose AMP to allow onstar to use the speakers? Another thing I noticed.... There are 4 RCA connection coming from the digistar-b box. I plugged all 4 into my head unit and only the front works. I followed the confusing mess of cables and realize that the digistar box only outputs the front channel. Violet and Green RCA's exist in the one side of the box, but are nowhere to be found on the other side. Am I making this harder than it need to be? Thanks for ANY advice!!

do the directions tell you to cut the speaker lines for the left front speakers and tie two wires to one side and two to the other ?

if so:

no they are miss leading you.... there is a seperate wiring diagram regarding the preimium sound system. What there is is a common ground system. I dont have the documentaion on it any more so your gonna have to be back on the horn with them. Let me guess though, it starts going through the onstar speal then it cuts out ? and the door chime is a seperate issue, unless the digistar-b has it built in, which i doubt... the chime is a seperate part normally
