i want to get 2 10inch type r's to replace my dying jls. what kind of ohm loads are possible seeing as how they are avalilabe in DVC 2 or 4 ohm? i suck and can figure out this ohmload thing for the life of me. i planned on getting a  MRD-M501  to power then so i assume a 2 ohm load is ideal?

If you get an amp that is 2-ohm stable get the dual 2's

I would go with 2 2ohm+2ohm wire each sub in series and then run both subs to the amp in parallel this will creat a 2 ohm load. this short cut will show you how to wire your subs http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/wiring/index.html#2dvcsp

then just run both + to the + on the amp and run both - to the - on the amp
