I installed a XM Skyfi in my truck. I want the Skyfi to remain on after the truck is turned off, just like the radio, until the door is opened. Where do I hook up the hot wire for the Skyfi to make this happen? I tried a couple wires on the radio but can't find the right one.

Thanks

I have a 2001 Silverado and am using an Alpine HU w/sirius and mine still stays on. I just used the factory wiring harness and the red (ignition wire) on the HU connects to an ACC wire from the factory harness (can't remember if that was a red wire or not).

I tried two orange wires. One was constant hot and when I connected to the other(smaller) orange wire all kinds of bad things happened. The truck wouldn't start, the lights and windows didn't work, etc. Something to do with the theft deterrent system.

Do a search for "RAP" or "retained accessory power".

The radio is controlled by the BCM of the vehicle on 03' and newer GM trucks. Because of this you will not be able to use aftermarket products with the RAP feature.
