I have done everything I feel possible to get rid of the wine in my system and it has improved over 80%, but there is still a slight engine wine that I want gone.  I want it to sound perfect.  So I was wondering which one to try a GLI or a noice filter on the posative lead on the radio.  Like i told people before I don't really believe it to be my ground because I hooked my MP player up and it sounded perfect.  So I just wanted some last minute advice on which cheat fix would be better.

is there a separate amp in the system?  have you tried adjusting the gains down? try this first...

then disconnect the RCA cable from the input stage of the amp... did the engine noise go away? if yes, a power line filter on the HU probably wont do you any good at all... try a good quality GLI.....

keep in mind your portable MP3 player is not getting power supply ground from the vehicle, (unless you are using a DC adapter ) so to say your existing problem is not a ground problem is erroneous.....
