Hi all.

New here, but i'm needing help!

I have a 1997 Mazda Famila (also known as a 323 or a Protege i think).

Now, i have got a wiring harness for it - the Metra 70-7901, and have plugged all the wires into the right plugs.

But i don't get anything on the display - i no there is power coming in - becuase the old unit still works when i plug it in.

I have checked every connection 10 times, all good, i'm now clueless as to what it could be.

The head unit is brand new, and i don't see why that could be the problem.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Fuses? Also get a test light and be sure that the harness adapter is correct with the power wires....try them with he key off then with the key on accesory...that should let you know whether or not it is the radio. Sony has been known to have a radio every now and then that just doesnt work or even power up. Hope this helps.
