Does anyone know much about this amplifier..I plan on getting it soon. The specs are as follows:

1500wX1 @ 1 ohm

900wX1 F@ 2 ohms

I will be running this amplifier at 2 ohms..Is this amp underated at all?..Because my last ampliifer was pushing my H2 at 1200wX1@ 2 ohms..I didnt plan on dropping any dB's buying this amp..Hopefully i'll be gaing a couple!

Thanks,Brett

well what was your old amp?     This amp is pretty accurate at the rating so 900-1000 is about right

My previous amp was a JBL BP1200.1, It ran 1200w at 1 ohm, and it also pushes the same about of watts at 2 ohms..The sub i have right now is a H212.4, so i can only run this sub at 2 ohms, which means..it'll be running at 2 ohms..So i'll be running 900watts to it, instead of 1200watts like my previoius amp..I know i shouldn't hear a noticable diff in sound, but im hoping this HiFonics amp is underated, so the power is more in range of my previous amplifier..

You're right about that.  Even from 1200 to 900 you'll only lose around 1db.  I wouldn't worry.

Actually add another 100 watts rms to your 2 ohm total, it's 1000 at 2 ohms, not 900.

I just got that same amp hooked up for my wifes car and it runs great, it doesnt get to warm even after a 3 hour raod trip and puts out a good amount of power,  just remember Hifonics rates their amps at 14.4 Volts instead of 12.5 or 13.3 like some other compaines do
Hope you enjoy it

Hifonics makes a good amp, even though i think the JBL is far superior. Why the change in company?
