Hi, I just got an Alpine head unit and kca-420i interface for my ipod.  I am installing in a 02 Neon.  I am wondering if anyone has any trick ideas of how to mount the ipod.   I want to put it in the center console, and make it out of plastic or wood.  DOes anyone know where to get sheets (pieces) of the OEM looking black plastic (like the material that installation kits are made from).  Any info or pics would be great.  Thanks.

You really dont need the I-Pod on your dash at all. The interface makes it so the stereo will actually control your I-Pod for you. Personally i would just place it in a remote location to give it a cleaner less cheap look.

If you really want to show it off check out some of the work on www.hzemall.com. He has molded alot of those iPod docks into peoples ash trays and center consoles.
