I have a california 300WX1 at 2 ohms going to a a MB Quart DVC 12.  Just bought both of them and I wired the Sub in parralell to be at 2 ohms.  I have a problem with the amp cutting out if I turn it up just past half way.  If I run the amp for like an hour or two it does okay and there is no cutting out.  I have only 4 feet of 4 gauge power cable and 4 feet of ground(4 gauge) and right now the CB I have on it is way to big at 120amps I just need to get a 60amp fuse, but could this be the cause??  I have no Idea what to do??  I have never had this problem before with any of my set ups.  Probably just the cheap amp!!

If there is not enough current running to the amp it will most likely shut itself down if it has that type of protection on it. Check your ground-make sure it is clean.

Okay so if I unhook one of the rca inputs to the amp I can turn it up as loud as I want but as soon as I hook back in the other side of the rca the amp cuts out after about half way up???

It sounds like your gains are set too high.  Try backing them off a bit and see if that helps.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Check your gains, sounds like a distortion issue.

Check your gains, but you might need to get a high output alt. If your going to power the CB and the Amp, you ared drawing a lot of current and you might want to boost it up a bit. When your amp doesn't receive the proper amount of current, it will most likely shut itself down as stated above.
