subwoofer box trouble

mounting depth is how deep the magnet will be when it is mounted.

cutout diameter is the size of the hole to cut to mount it (remember it isnt the outermost diameter, you need wood to screw it into)

the other 2 you need to talk to whoever sold you the sub about.

those are decent subs, but are you planning on competing in SPL competitions? you will get NO s/q from stocker speakers and a bajillion watts of subwoofers. just a thought.

After a brief look at this company,  ( http://www.klausaudio.com/caraudio/subwoofer_boxes/customize.cfm?productid=35) yes they make boxes but you can't call them custom-made.  You have to do the customizing for them by providing all the parameters of the box and port sizes.  They are merely a fabricator.  Go this route only if you know how to build an enclosure yourself.....but  wait, why send off for a mail-order box if you know how to do it yourself?  I don't wish Klaus audio ill will, but I certainly think they could more easily call themselves a custom enlosure builder if you just provide them with the make/model and answer some questions about where it will go..........like you would at a local custom shop.

I'd say nix the idea of ordering online.  You don't have the info to give them.  Find a local custom shop and have the box built there.  This sub would work best in a vented enclosure, and so you need someone with expertise, not a web site where you put dots in the blank spots.
