I was playing my kicker solo baric 10 and it was thumping, then smoke started coming out of the port...Then I cut it off, then I cut it back on and now its thumping again with no smoke I can just smell smoke but I dont know if thats from when It first started smoking and the smell is still in the air,,, ANy how is my sub really f**ked up?

What makes my car Bang:

Kicker KX 600.1 Mono amp (2004)

Kicker Solobaric L7 10 (2004)

Long Ported Box Single

Kicker 200.4 4 Channel(2004)

Kicker DX 60 6 1/2

Rockford Fosgate FRC3369 6x9

It might be on its way out. Do you have the gain or bass boost cranked? Do you have the gain set correctly? It definitely shouldn't be smoking unless its not adjusted or set up right.

Burning voice coil. Turn down the gains and bass boost. And turn it down for sake of your own hearing.
