I have a remote start car alarm system, JVC head unit, and speakers and amp being shipped this week all to be installed soon in my 1997 Nissan Pathfinder. In preparation for the install. Which system is best to install first, the car alarm or the stereo? Installing the car alarm will be my first time, so I'm trying to gather information. A professional installer I got a quote from told me it would take 6-hours to install a "remote start car alarm system" is that true? Any tips and advice would be great.

I would go ahead and install the alarm first so everything is protected, Yes 6 hours is about right lots of sensors to go around. lots of panels to be removed, if you are doing it yourself I would install it all at once you are going to have everything taken apart might as well install everything right and hidden very well.

strip the interior, and get ready for quite a few hours of fun.   Here is a tip. If you have a sucker of a friend get hime or her to help, even if its running wires or handng you tools.   I always like haveing a companion with me so I dont go insane on long installs

Yeah if it take 6-hours for a professional to install I can imagine my SUV will be down for a couple of days. Thanks for the input guys, and I will let you know how it all turns out.Which should install first? -- posted image.
