I have two Audiobahn Alum10Q subs, These are six ohm subs and I was just wondering how that would work hooking them up to a four ohm amp. Does that change anything ? is it ok that the amp is four ohms as opposed to six? or would they just hook up like regular subs to an amp? they are dual voice coil and I have them wired to be six ohms when hooked up to each channel. Any help at all would be great thanks.

How do you have them wired? If they are 6 ohm DVC subs and you have them wired parallel, they would be at 3 ohms. If they are wired in series, they would be 12 ohms. Do you have them wired series/ parallel?

I looked them up and the way you have them is parallel. That means each sub is at 3 ohms. What kind of amp are you using?

lol, he said audiobahn lol. Anyways though, two DVC 6 ohms, which could in turn give you a 6 ohm load or a 1.5 oh load if you wire the subs together and run them on a monoblock amp. I'd get an amp that is one ohm stable, as it can therefore handle 1.5 ohms fine. Make sure you have clean power though, or else those things will sound worse than crap.

The amp is also audiobahn It is the 4002t. I dont think it is nealy powerful enough for the subs. And the other bad thing is that it isnt even two ohms stable yet enough 1 ohm

Lol, maybe if you add some chrome on it it will be 1 ohm stable lol... Save up and get a cheap amp, visonik if possible... They are "inexpensive" but provide good power.

www.adireaudio.com ... This is elite crap dude. Like SQ stuff. Really nice. Not even 500 million audiobahns could sound as good as one of these. They are worth the money. I don't understand who could be an audiobahn man.
