Hi all, just found this site and it looks like a great resource. I've been out of the car audio loop for a few years but have decided it's time for a mild upgrade in my 2002 Chevrolet Silverado HD Crewcab. I plan on retaining the stock deck for now and replacing all door speakers. Looking at Infinity Kappa 6 1/2" components for the front and Kappa 6 3/4" coaxs in the rear doors. I have an old 4 channel amp with speaker level inputs that runs 80x4 RMS that should do fine on them I think. I bought a ProBox for under the rear seat ( I'm not a big fan of pre-fabs but it was a great price). The box holds 2 10"'s downfiring with roughly .5-.6 cf's and only 5 1/2 to 5 7/8"s in depth. I have a old Punch 300 thats rated at 300x1 @ 4ohms or 150x2 @ 2 ohms. I know it isn't a lot of power but I'm not out to win SPL contests and I plan on upgrading it if needed in a few months. Any ideas on subs for that small of a box? I prefer SQ but some rumble is nice. Also, any brackets or other tricks I need to know with those door speakers. I can't seem to find much out about the crecabs. Thanks for any advice.

mtx makes some nice subs for that box, thunder 4500 series, they will be ok with that amp and will give you some bass

I haven't even looked at MTX's. Has there quality improved? The last MTX's I had was probably 10 years ago and I wasn't too impressed. I have been leaning towards either JL W0 or the new W1's or maybe Kicker CompVR's.
