I have a 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS, looking to replace the 2.5" speakers in the dash up by the window. Upon looking under the dash it seems as if removing the air ducting that leads to the doors is my best bet for access to the speaker mounts/screws etc....  It seems like a lot of work to put a couple of little tweets in. arrrrgh  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.. 97 Mitsu Eclipse Dash Speakers -- posted image.

If you cant slide the speaker in the existing hole, you pretty much have to take out the whole dashboard.  would probably be easier just to buy some of the 1 inch dome/flush mount tweaters and puting it in the option cover.

I am looking to drop some 1" silver metallic silk soft dome tweets in the existing grey grill in the dash with a dremel and adhesive to keep a clean look.... maybe someone has a better idea, soundstage, etc, lol.... I'm open to advice, 97 Mitsu Eclipse Dash Speakers -- posted image.but you're right I prolly don't want to take out the whole dash 97 Mitsu Eclipse Dash Speakers -- posted image. oh and btw looking for further tweaks but -
