I bought these subs back in Spring of 02 and now both of them are blown. Not even three years out of a sub? Is that bad? At first I had them on a RF 800.2, then a BD500.1. Now I have them on a Kicker 1200.1 which has blown both of them. One of them is sucked in, and the other one looks normal but it sounds like springs loose inside of it when you turn it upside down. Now I'm thinking about getting two JL W6 (old ones not the v2's) will those hold up on the Kicker 1200.1 amp?

That ain't to shab, i wouldn't be down on yourself. What are you looking for? JLW6 is a good woofer, but what is your goal?

Well I wasn't a big fan of jl audio before i started at car toys but they have made me believers. They are clean sounding subs if you ask me. I was pretty impressed. Costly..but nice. I like them, and I'm getting them at discounted price.

Dude, don't let them corrupt your mind. Car Tunes i presume? Well what you need to do is check out Image Dynamics. Crazy good woofers or Adire audio Shiva's. Either will do you fine.

Just get the fook'n JL's, its a great woofer, wins sound offs, is well reviewed, people are just haters for some reason, sometimes, nothing against other companies, ya ya ya...

BTW what’s the deal exactly?  How much.

Hey, heavy dont get me wrong, they make some good woofers, but for cheaper IDMAX has a great woofer available. If the JL is what you want, get the JL. But why not get a better woofer for less?
