Hello and thank you in advance for your valuable advice.
Blew my JL 12w7 sub.
Thinking about getting a RE XXX or Adire Brahma 12 inch.
Here are the questions:
1.Could I make it fit even tho the mounting hole diameter is different? Is it even worth doing?
12w7 10.5"
www.jlaudio.com/enclosures/HO112RW7.html
XXX    11.15"
www.reaudio.com/flash_index.html
Brahma 11.125"
www.adireaudio.com/Files/TechPapers/DriverSizes.pdf
if so, how?
2.Would a XXX or Brahma give "higher output" in this "special" box than the suggested enclosures in their manuals.
3.What would you do if you were in my position?
sincerely

first of all, build a new box as it will sound better.  if the "special" ed box is ported dont even think about putting either of those drivers into it.  if it is sealed and is within the recommended range of cubic feet for the brahma or xxx than you would be fine technically.
Pioneer PEH-9660mp
Mb Quart PCE-216 biamped
JL 12W6v2
Sony XM-4026 amp for tweeters
Kenwood KAC-7251 amp for mids
JL-4100 amp for sub
