Maybe someone can point me in the right direction or help me.  I am completly lost hereAlpine I-Personalize Help -- posted image..

My equipment is all Alpine: CDA-9835, 2-10" Type-S Series Subs (2ohm+2ohm), MRP-350 Class D Mono Amp.  2003 Cavalier factory 4"x6" and 6"x9" I am trying to use the Alpine I-personalize and have no idea how to set it?

On the crossover control there is settings for the sub, front and rear speakers changing the Hz, dB and dB/Oct.  Now what to set these to, I have no idea.  They tell me to look up the frequency range.  Its 30Hz-1KHz for the subs.  I can't find the frequency range for my factory speakers.

On the Parametric EQ they have a bunch more stuff I don't get Hz, dB and width.

I'm pretty sure I can do the time correction, but any help with these other two would be greatly appreciated.  I know this could be a dumb question, but I'm new to all this and want to set it up so it sounds as good as it possibly can.

thanks.

All perfectly legit questions. I usually set S series Alpine 10s between 63hz and 80hz depending on personal taste. 24 db per octive @ 0db. I would look at 80hz for your fronts and to get a little mid bass, 63hz for your rears.12db per octive for the fronts and 24 for the rears. Adjust the gains to achieve good front to rear bal on your highs. As far as the time correction, go to alpines web sight, go to I-personalize and follow the directions. Jl's web sight has a great tutorial on parametric eqs.

Thanks tcss, I'm guna try those settings out.  (greatly appreciated).  Few more questions.....

Wouldn't I want no bass coming out of the front and rear speakers and just let the subs handle that.  They are factory speakers.  I'm looking to get the sound as clear as possible, I don't want to pound the bass and get no voice clarity. Do you think my factory fronts and rears could handle 80hz and 63hz?  Do I leave the fronts and rears at 0dB too?

What do you mean by "Adjust the gains to achieve good front to rear bal on your highs"?

What should I set the Parametric EQ too?

there are 5 dots set as default right now.  1st-20, 2nd-80, 3rd-315, 4th-1.2k and 5th-5k (Hz)

what should I change these too.  is it just like a regular EQ, 1st and 2nd are bass and the rest are more treble?

Sorry for so many questions Alpine I-Personalize Help -- posted image.

No problem. You are correct about the factory speakers. Setting the front and rear x-overs at 80hz and 63hz should take enough bass out of them to do the trick. Go to JLs web site, click on tutorials and they have a great page on how a parametric EQ works. Adjusting the gains ( db ) on the front and rear crossovers is equal to adjusting volume on the front and rear speakers. Set your fader to "0" and adjust the front and rear x-over levels until they are balanced to your liking.
