I think this should work, but just wanted to make sure.  I just got 2 12's.  I got my amp awile ago that is 2 ohm stable.  I got the subs and they are 8 Ohms.  what I want to do is  wire the two 12's in series for a 4ohm load,  and then add my 4 Ohm 10" in series to get the 2,

Is this correct

No.  Two 8's in parallel make a total 4 ohms.  And stop there.  You are indicating that you want to wire different subs together to form one load on the amp.  You have one 10" sub that you want to include as a threesome.  It is SVC 4 ohm, and you want to add it in parallel, not series, to the 12's.

The subs are all in parallel, so you figure that the load on the amp will be 2 ohms.  That is correct.

The subs would receive power according to their individual impedance.  The 8 ohm subs will each get half the power that the 4 ohm sub gets.  But if the 8 ohm subs have an efficiency of 3 db more than the 4 ohm sub, the power should be equal to each.

Since both size subs are connected to the same amp output, there is no difference in freqs allowed to each.  The result  will be piss-poor quality sub sound.

All in all, this is something that is better not done than done at all.  I take it that your idea is to do what you have to do to make the amp produce it's most output.  This is one of the worst ways to do that.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

im gonna have to agree with stevdart on this one. if you wire another of the  8 ohm subs to your set up you should get 2.67 ohms which is closer,to the2ohm load you want.  otherwise just use the 2 12s @ 4ohms and enjoy the fact that your amp isnt stressing in anyway wiring my 3 subs -- posted image.

Don't stress out about it.  The big bad doubling of power will only gain you a max 3db spl increase.  This isn't big.  But if you must have BIG WATTAGE to impress the ladies or something, then yeah, sell your subs.
