when i cut out the mounting ring on my box i cut it too big. so only a few of the screws actually screw into the wood. i dont have any spare mdf wood. all i have is 1/4 inch thick plywood. all i need to do is screw a new piece of wood over the old hole and cut this one out right and i need to know if that thin wood will work or not. my subs a fosgate power t1 12" and im scared it will just pull the screws out or break the wood. so what im askin is will that work or should i wait till i get some more mdf? help me out fellas.

yeah I would get some mdf and pull the box apart and do it correctly you don't want any noise from that plywood, man that sucks, well live and learn.

If you don't want to take it back apart you could take another piece of 3/4 mdf and cut it the same size of the top. Use Liquid Nails and seal the 2 tops together. This time cut the sub holes before you seal it up.
