I'm looking to install a video headunit in my 2001 Tahoe either the Pioneer AVIC-N1 or the Kenwood KVT-715DVD. My question is, can the second unit be installed into the factory location of the cassette player.?

yes it can be.  i believe it will fit just fine.  i have heard of radios going there when a flush mounted screen went in the factory radio location.  so you should be fine
If you say "I already know how", don't ask me a single question.
