How do you power up the 04, 05 basic Silverado radios with 24 pin connector.? I've connect Ground to black, +12 to Orange, ties the small orange ign. Have tried reverse wiring harness connector. So far none of the radios will power up. What am I missing here? Thanks for any help.

Only aftermaket OEM connector has a yellow wire, and it says ign. But the radio will not power up. The OEM connector has only has the Orange power wire. I have always been able to make a radio operate on the bench. Are these new GM radio so different? What do you have to do to make them work on the bench?

Ya thats true. 2003 I believe they went to the data bus. Not sure what they would need on a bench.
