I have 2 dual 4 ohm voice coil subs.  Is there away that I can get them to put a 2 ohm load on the amp?  Can I just wire 1 voice coil on each sub in a parralell series?  Or do I have to wire both voice coil overs?

Also,  I have the JL e1400D amp.  Is it stable at 1 ohm?

No it is not stable to one ohm. You could use one voice coil on each sub with no major issues at all. The other possibility is to series / parallel wire the subs to a 4 ohm combined load.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

I have them wired in series parallel right now.  If I get it down to a 2 ohm load, the amp will produce more watts.  Does using only 1 voice coil have any negative effects like less maxxium watts it can except or spl.

wire the 4 ohm sub to two ohms, and fun only one coil of the other sub. they will both get the same power, so they'll sound ok, but remember that the dual twos' power handeling will be 1/2 of what it normally is. it will probably eventually blow, giving you the oppertunity to get another matching speaker.
