Stereo/Video Advice

I'm a new mamber and I have been working on a dream system for about ten years. This process has been very slow, due to changing vehicles and theft. I have a 1996 Chevrolet Suburban now. At this point I have 2 JL 12wO in a 5.5 cubic foot box, with a 6 inch port. The subs are powered by a Pioneer GM-X952 amp. I have Boston Acoustic FS60 in the front and kept the factory tweeters installed, the Boston tweeters are angle mounted in on the top of the door panel. the rest of the system is factory. I am planning on putting three 13w7's powered by 2 JL 1000/1 with a remote bass control knob mounted in the front of the truck. The Suburban has 2 pairs of 6.5's in the doors and 4X10's in the rear. I was Planning on installing Boston Z6 in the front and passanger doors along with another set intalled in kick panels in the front under the dash, with the tweeters in the door. I was Planning on powering each pair with 2 JL 300/2 amps 1 for the front doors and 1 the back doors. For the rear speakers I was planning  on installing 2 pairs of Boston RX47 in each 4X10 slot. These would be powered by a JL 300/4. The head unit would be Pioneer AVIC-N1, with 4 headrest monitors, rear view mirror monitors, and sunvisor monitors. all this with a Playstaion.

My Questions are:

Are these speakers the right idea?

Will this system be high quality and "the biggest bang for my buck"?

What do I need a far as Battery power and Capacitors?

What about Distribution and Multiply Alternators?

Which video monitors should I use for the headrest, sunvisors and rearview mirror monitor?

Whoaa. Toooo many speakers!!

With three 13 W7s in the back you won't need (or will be able to hear) half of those speakers anyway. You don't need two sets of 4x7s in the back, or an extra component set in the front doors. I would go with the two subs, two 1000/1s, 1 300/4 (if you want to stay with JL). Then only use one set of components up front (in the doors or kick panels you choose), and the FS60 component set in the rear doors. Power both component sets off of the 300/4.

I just realized how much power you are going to be drawing with that setup. You will definitely need a high output alternator and do the "big 3" (you don't need to buy caps). You might have to run a ground wire directly from the battery also, because the body's of GM trucks and cars usually have a high ground return resistance....read this post by forbidden https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=49445&PN=1   You will probobly have to use 1/0 gauge wire for the + power lead into a distrobution block near the amps.

If this was my system I would probobly let someone else install it because it's pretty large job. Unless you are really experienced I'd let the pro's handle this one.

I agree, way too many speakers in too many locations is going to actually be very detrimental to the quality of sound. Keep it simple like customsuberb suggests. That said, it is a huge cavernous, cavernous, cavernous (is there an echo in there) area for sound. I like the idea of the 3 subs IF the goal is to be totally loud AND totally obnoxious. If you are just after good sound, 2 subs in the proper box is way more than enough. Good bass response is more about the box than the sub. Consider the things we have recommended and if you want come back with a revised plan.

Thanks for all of your points i will definatly take them in advice. This system is very important to me. The subs will have the ability to adjust the two sub amps. This could make it have the ability to have a normal everyday system and system that i could compete against friends and others with. I think if I make the system have a surround sound abilities through a Dolbly Digital or DTS processor the arrangement that I had would be ideal. There is a little misunderstanding about the rear Boston RX47's I believe these are 4" coax. If I am mistaken about this I could use some advice on what to put back there. I do not like any speakers thant are not round because the concept of 4X10's, 5X7's, and the like just sounds strange to me. but that could be a different post all together.
