Not that I want to send you another site.....but we Canadians have a site that has a just completed H2 install with a new alternator. Go and register at www.canadiancaraudio.com and send Defro or Defro13 a PM for info on it. He more than likely has a thread started on it as well. A search with his name will show all threads he has started.

Thank you for the response. unfortunately, its a 05 H2. Some change to the alternator so says GM and know one seems to have any information. I've got 2 audiobahn amps 1 12" two pair acis components, power acoustic 20 farad cap, red top battery, biggest one they make. And I still end up with 11.5 volts at the amp. I could add a battery in the back but sure dose seem like a last resort.

Check the site I mentioned. Dave (Defro) will be more than happy to give you all of the necessary information on the alternator upgrade for you ride. A second battery in the back is going to do more harm than good in most cases as it just provides another draw on the battery. It is good if you plan on running the system with the engine off or if you are in a SPL contest and have fully charged batteries.
