Type R or Infinity Kappa speakers?

Hi, I am shopping around for some door speakers for my 96 integra. I have no amps, no subs, everything is stock except for my head unit. I have been told good things about Type R's and Kappas and to be honest, I like both. But I'm new to car audio, very very new, and need help with which specs have the ability to sound better when I get an amp for them. ALso, what cheap little amp do you suggest to power either of these? I want a cheap one to run just my front speakers because I want to run subs off a separate amp when I get them. help!

Which ones do you like the sound of?  Type R and Kappas sound very different from one another.  GO LISTEN to them and buy the ones you like more.Support the12volt.com

When it comes down to it, that's the best answer, I came here to just get opinions on the specs of each and suggestions on an amp to power them since everything is so new to me. Sorry.

No need to be sorry.  It's the same advise I give to everyone: never buy speakers based on specs.  Always listen to them since how speakers sound to you with your music is all that really matters.  As far as amps, for either of those look for a good quality amp in the 50-100 watts per channel range.  What's your budget?Support the12volt.com

Budget for the speaker amp would be under $200 most definitely, I'd like to stay within the $100-150 tops area. I wanna spend the majority of my money on the sub/amp part but i want this amp for strictly the door speakers to handle mainly the highs, since another amp would power the lows from the sub

OK, 2-channel amps in the 50-100 watts per channel and $100-$200 range: if you want something that sounds good and will last for a while look at amps from Lightning Audio, US Acoustics, Autotek, Phoenix Gold, Blaupunkt, MTX or Hifonics.  I'm sure there are others in your price range but these are the brands I know to be good and who offer a couple nice low-cost amps.Support the12volt.com

i went to my local car audio shop and really talked to the general manager there and told him what i wanted. He'll give me a 600 wat 4 channel koiiler amp (model: xm-8686)for $120 and some memphis audio 5 1/4 speakers (30 RMS) for $80 (he said 6 1/2" might not fit in the door of my integra). In terms of money he's giving me a good deal, it all comes with a 1 year warantee but what the hell is koiiler? I searched the forums and many people say they sound like crap. I just am gonna power my front and back speakers with them, is that taking a risk? Or should I stick with higher end brands?
