Anyone know of a less difficult way of bypassing the factory amplifier in a 97 Nissan Pathfinder?  I don't really wan't to run wires from each speaker, or from the amp in the very back.   Please help.  Thanks!!

Do you have the bose, or non bose but amplified like mine?

I have a factory repair manual on hand here, i'll try to find a way to scan the diagram to you tonight.

its a customers car.  I rescheduled them for this friday.  I didn't see bose, just diversity antenna.  I think its just amplified.  she had the cd player on top of a cassette player (not double din, but 2 din units stacked).  Thanks a lot for your help!!  97 Pathfinder Factory Amp Bypass? -- posted image.

I have some spare time today so i'll try to get the exact colours for you.  It wont be hard to bypass, the amp is behind the panel above the rear wheel well on the drivers side.  It wont take more than 8" of wire for each speaker bypass.

That is a link to my web site thingy i use for pictures, i just added the picture of the 2 plugs that come off the factory amp from the manual, and the numbers are listed below to match the number up to the numbers on the plug diagram.

I couldn't just list wire colours becasue the same colour wire is used more than twice in the same plug.

Signal from radio:

FL +78(pink) -77(blue)

FR +8(purple) -7(green)

RL +76(pink) -75(blue)

RR +10(purple) -9(green)

Signal to speakers:

FL +86(Drk Green) -85(red)

FR +2(brown) -1(blk/white)

RL +82(light Green) -81(blk/pink)

RR +6(orange) -5(blk/pink)

Good luck!
