My friend has a standard cab Chevrolet S10 and is looking to put together a good system. He listens to some of about everything, from country to punk to rap. So i was thinking some high scale 8's would be good. i have heard that RE makes 8's and was wondering if they are any good and if anyone knew of how much they were. I was also checking around and was wondering if anyone knew if eclipse made good 8's. I also checked the adire site and looked at the kodas.  I was thinking about suggesting to him to go with 4 8's right behind his seat in a fiberglass box. What do you think? all suggestions are welcome. Thanks

the air space you would use for 4 8'2, you would be better off going with 2 10's in my opinion.
If you say "I already know how", don't ask me a single question.

I agree with BMn - generally the larger woofer the better. All 4 8's will get you is hotter bass than 1 8". A larger driver will actually reach deeper.

i agree as well, i tried multiple smaller drivers in my truck justifying it by saying that i dont like deep bass, but i ended up going with a 12 in the end.  it will be less expensive to go with one big sub and you will get the same if not better results.  and of course a much lower response
