So even though I heard rumors of this its finally official that MB Quart and Eclipse are going to be sold at Future Shop. We arent gonna have full lines to start with, just entry level speakers from quart and about 5 different head units and their indash Nav piece from Eclipse. I am kinda skepical as to how Big Box Salesman are going to handle selling something that actuall has to be sold as opposed to something people have already heard of and they ust need to make it look pretty to them. Also its gonna be funny to see some of their reactions to the fact that the decks have fixed face plates. I can already hear the bitching, even after ESN is explained to them. O well, at least I can use it now.

hmmmmmm well thats just.....well.....bullsh*t..they should stay at innovation audio. and other car stereo shops across canada that are NOT big box.
i dunno what future or A&B are trying to prove by selling the good products. but this is rediculus. now that i have heard this i am just wondering if they're gonna replace they're infinity line or perhabs the rockford, that they have there. i have to agree with you on this one raven. i to am skeptical.

Is Future Shop still owned by Circiut City here in the States?

I wonder if CC will take on those brands as well

Circuit City is it's own company, nothing to do with Best Buy or Future Shop, except being there competition. Best Buy does own Future shop. MB Quart is even actually the original MB Quart company. I dont know he full history but it is something like MB Quart was pulling out of the US market, so Rockford basically bought the rights to the name. THe original MB Quart is re-entering into the US market under the name Third Acoustics. And Rockford is not to happy about it, so it could get pretty interesting to see what happens with that. I dont know about there distribution into Canada though. That is the story i got anyway, if any one knows more, please let me know

Yes they are.  They are owned by Rockford Corp. and the new amplifiers and marine line of gear labeled as MBQ are re-labeled Rockford products, but MBQ speakers are still exactly the same products, designed and built in Germany.  I hear there may be a new line of high-end RF-brand speakers out soon that are to be built in the MBQ factory.

I heard the same thing about quart making a new high end RF speaker as well, so I guess we will see. I think the reason is simple as to why these companies are going into FS, FS is a far bigger venue to display the gear at. Lets face it xTimx, FS sells far more gear than what inno does, and I am guessing that if you are running a company and you can get studden distribution through 114 stores nation wide, then its a pretty good buisness opurtunity for you. The problem lies in how the lines are handled now that they are in the fold. And also how the quality of the product stands up being that the demand on stock just got far larger. I guess we are gonna see.
